Kirk B. Freeman

Kirk B. Freeman is an aggressive, experienced commercial trial attorney. He has represented clients in over thirty trials in courts throughout California.


Kirk is experienced in all facets of civil litigation, having taken and defended hundreds of depositions and briefed and argued a similar number of law and motion matters. He has handled hundreds of cases in state and federal courts throughout California and other jurisdictions.

Kirk has represented parties in arbitration proceedings in such forums as the NASD, the New York Stock Exchange and the American Arbitration Association.

He is a frequent participant in other alternative dispute resolution procedures, such as mediations. He has also briefed and argued a number of appellate matters.

Kirk graduated with honors from U.C. Berkeley with a B. A. in Political Science in 1978. He graduated from Boalt Hall School of Law in 1981. At Boalt he received the Stephen Finney Jamison Award, which is awarded to one student in each graduating class for excellence in the art of advocacy. After three years as a litigation associate at the law firm then known as Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro (now Pillsbury Winthrop LLP), he opened the Law Offices of Kirk B. Freeman in San Francisco in January, 1985.
